Use food as your Warrior
during times of stress and emotion
How do you feel about food?
Do you see it as a fuel to energise your body, mindfully choosing foods that have the nutrients that you need at the time? Or is it more of a comforter during times of boredom and loneliness where you suddenly crave the fatty, processed foods? Perhaps you’re somewhere in between.
There are many reasons why people struggle to maintain weight loss but by far one of the of the most common frustrations I hear is that during times of stress or high emotion people find it difficult to focus on mindful, healthy eating, seeing it as an extra task, an extra job to be done when they’re already feeling stretched and stressed … and instead they crave for the sugary, processed, fatty foods which leaves them feeling lethargic, tired and demotivated and even worse than they felt in the first place.
Research has shown that the right types of food have many positive effects on the body and the brain and such foods can reduce anxiety and depression and can even help to prevent chronic illnesses.
What I would like to suggest to you is that from today you start to see healthy eating, healthy foods as a resource, a fuel to energise you … a warrior during times of stress to help you to cope with what life throws at you …
Changing how you think about food in this way is key to sustaining that healthy weight and it’ll make you feel great too and I know you can do it!
